I was able to make fresh tracks on part of the Alta mountain this morning, meaning I was on the first chair going up. It had snowed overnight but this was not powder snow, more like what the locals call "Sierra Cement". On the way up I noticed some trees shaped just like a heart. How appropriate on this day.
