Sun Valley Lodge

This where skiing first began in 1939. The chairman of Union Pacific Railroad wanted a resort in North America to rival what he saw in Europe. A lodge was built and it the ski industry has probably never looked back. To make it easy for skiers to get up the mountain, a lift was invented, the first in the world. Thank God for that - I'd hate to have to trudge up the mountain every day.Posted by Hello
