The town may have been a disappointment but the skiing definitely was not. Wide open, above the tree line, and great scenery in all directions. Most of the terrain you see is open for skiing, snow permitting. Didn't think it was overly steep, good cruising runs that go on for long stretches.
As an afterthought it occured to me that perhaps I was a bit overly critical of the architecture of the town. However, everyone I talked to agreed with me. St. Moritz has never worried about how it looks. People come for the scenery, the shopping, and the multitude of events held year round.
