I went downtown to see the light's being shut off, and it was a great success. The only problem is that photographing it became somewhat of a challenge since you need lots of light to get a good picture. City Hall was jammed for a free concert, and the skating rink was still operational. Nobody seemed to mind being kept in the dark.
