Crested Butte, Colorado

After a considerable hiatus, Buck is back on the blog. At least for the time being. Am skiing in Crested Butte which is an out-of-the-way ski resort in Colorado. Mt. Crested Butte reminds me a lot of The Matterhorn in Switzerland although the rest of the scenery is typical Rockies. The town is charming and has made a remarkable transition from mining to recreation. Fortunately the town has not lost any charm and has a uniquely old character. All the new condos are on the mountain and do not interfere with the historic townsite.
