Yes, it's a beach but no, it's not sugar. So named because of the Redpath sugar refinery adjacent to the beach, this is part of Toronto's waterfront revitalization. The fine sand, a magnificent view of Lake Ontario in one direction, the downtown skyline in the other, makes this a little oasis along the waterfront. And if you like big freighters, there is always one being loaded with sugar nearby.
