One of my favourite songs by Johnny Mercer is Autumn Leaves which also had french lyrics by Jacques Prevert - Les Feuilles Mort. Barbara Streisand recorded both the French and English version on one of her early albums and it remains one of my favourite. The French version sounded heartbreakingly sad.
