Stairway to the Dock

An ongoing project for me at the cottage has been building a walkway down to the dock. I started it last year and extended it this year. Arguably I’m 15 years too late. We could have used it while Karen’s dad was still alive so that at age 96 he didn’t have to navigate over tree roots and slippery sand. Same for my mother who was in her late eighties and I always had to hold her arm when she went out on the dock. Oh well, now it’s just in time for the other old folks, Karen and I, and our friends.
